IV Vitamin Therapy: More Than a Hangover Cure

IV Vitamin Therapy may be one of the most useful, yet misunderstood modern-day treatments, so the team at Suite 3 has popped together some information to help you make an informed decision about whether this popular treatment is right for you.

Understanding IV Vitamin Therapy

IV Vitamin Therapy supplies a high concentration of vitamins and minerals directly to the bloodstream through an infusion. This means a greater dose is available for rapid absorption as opposed to what is accessible via food or oral supplements.

Suite 3 offers two different types of infusions: NAD+ infusions and vitamin infusions, as well as vitamin booster shots. Each of the most popular infusions available includes Vitamin C, a hero for combating cold and flu symptoms and providing a general energy and immune system boost.

What are the benefits?

IV Vitamin Therapy can impact a broad range of body systems and provide focused benefits depending on which vitamins and minerals are administered. When delivered directly into the bloodstream, vitamins bypass the digestive system making nutrients available for maximum absorption and minimal waste resulting in close to 100% bioavailability.

Vitamin infusions have been shown to support the immune system, boost energy levels, and promote healthy hair, skin, and nails. The first signs of improvement in clients include increased energy levels, better sleep, glowing skin, and feeling fresh and well-rested in the morning.

Why Vitamin C?

Vitamin infusions can be of great benefit to the body during Winter to fend off and recover from a cold or flu and the accompanying symptoms that seem to hang around. Vitamin C can boost the immune system and positively impact chronic fatigue, viral infections including the common cold, influenza, and glandular fever, and the well-known ‘run down’ feeling. In addition to energy restoration and improved feelings of general wellness, Vitamin C can assist with collagen production and skin health resulting in glowing skin post-treatment.

Which infusion is it right for me?

Customisation and consultation are priorities in IV Vitamin Therapy, everyone is different, so treatments are designed according to the client’s individual needs and health concerns. Suite 3’s focus is on skin health, stress, anxiety, energy, immunity, and detoxification.

After consultation, a registered nurse will take a holistic approach that considers stress levels, diet, sleep concerns and more to customise an individual treatment plan just for you. Suite 3’s registered nurses work collaboratively with naturopaths and will deliver treatments in line with their recommendations.

Options for infusions include NAD+, and a range of vitamins or vitamin booster injections. Various vitamins and nutrients can be added to any infusion including Vitamin C, B Complex, Glutathione, Lysine, Magnesium, Zinc, Taurine, Selenium, Amino Acids, GABA.

Suite 3’s most popular customisable vitamin infusions include:

  • Immunity Boost: Vitamin C & B Complex

  • Ultimate Detox: Vitamin C, B Complex & Glutathione

  • Stress Less: Vitamin C, B Complex, Magnesium, GABA (Gamma Aminobutyric Acid), Serine & Taurine

The process / what to expect?

The best way to prepare for your treatment is to be well hydrated and if having a NAD+ infusion it’s recommended to eat a light diet prior to your appointment. Suite 3’s priority is to ensure you are comfortable and informed so feel free to speak up and ask questions at any point during the infusion process.

After arriving at the clinic, a registered nurse will carry out consent and consultation to determine the best treatment for you. All vitamins will be scripted by a Dr. Following this you will be made comfortable before an IV cannula is inserted into a vein, typically in the forearm. A tube is attached to the cannula and an IV bag of fluids containing the vitamins will begin to drip down the tube directly into the vein. Your first infusion may take up to an hour, after this IV vitamin infusions typically take 30 to 40 minutes, NAD+ infusions 1 – 2.5 hours and booster shots only 5 minutes.

Results can be felt for up to 6 weeks as infusions are administered in line with pharmacists’ recommended vitamin requirements for a 4-to-6-week period.

Infusions can be delivered in clinic or mobile to your home or workplace with speed, efficiency, and convenience by our registered nurses.
